Author Anne Carter - Point Surrender

“Truly a wonderful read… ghosts… mystery… a heart touching story and one with an ending that will surprise… kept me hooked to the very last page.” — Coffee Time Romance Reviews

I'd been on the hunt for a great summer read and I found it! All the elements I love; the California coast, the ocean, lighthouses, romance and mystery. What more is there?

Anne Carter's Point Surrender has it all. Amy Winslow has reached, just about, the lowest point in her life and is running from seemingly insurmountable problems. Enter, Case McKenna. Just his name gets the blood boiling! They share the strange sighting of a mystery man falling from a bluff near the lighthouse, along with a desire to bury unhappy events in their lives.

While trying to escape her own demons and uncover clues about the death of a former lighthouse keeper, Amy unwittingly reveals aspects of Case's life that he had long suppressed. Will this drive them apart? Or bring them closer?

You can find the answer in this beautifully written story by author, Anne Carter. Look for follow-up, Cape Seduction, coming this fall from Echelon Press.

  1. Sounds like a great scary setting for a novel, plus a great concept. I also love the hero's name.

    Many sales!

  2. Welcome to BH, Anne! Word on the street has it that you may be more than an adult romance/mystery author. Anything else you want to talk about?

  3. Welcome to Bookland Heights!

Well, you HAVE included it all, haven't you? (Didn't see dark chocolate mentioned, but hey, I can eat a bag while I'm reading your book.)

And the title of your next book sounds like it's going to be great, too.

  5. Good morning! (Or afternoon for you Easterners) Thanks so much, ladies, for hosting me today. Mary, special thanks for your patience over the email challenges!

Also, I'd like to hire you to start writing all my loglines and blurbs. I've never heard POINT SURRENDER summed up so suscinctly, so eloquently!

Yes, CAPE SEDUCTION is next up and will release to the "e" reading public on November 1st! Paper version follows in the spring of '10. Another lighthouse, another ghost, another mystery...ho hum...NOT! This book spans 60 years and tells of a missing Hollywood starlet, a creepy-and-dangerous water-locked lighthouse, and a modern day romance.

I'll be around all day to answer any questions and to post a few of my own!
