  1. Welcome, Jo!

My sister and I are planning a trip to Italy next year. This sounds like a perfect reference tool.

    What was your inspiration?

  3. Thank you both for your warm welcome.

    Diana,

I'm originally from the UK and moved to Rome in 2001. When I first came here I didn't know a word of Italian. Although there were and are a lot of phrasebooks out there, nearly all of them had too much information making it time consuming and confusing to find the words I needed.
I worked for a while as a receptionist in a hostel and also as a tour guide and found that many tourists felt the same way...and so Italian for Tourists was born.

I hope you and your sister have a lovely trip but be careful, I came here for 3 days and ended up staying!

  5. You must have tons of material considering your busy life!

Speaking of promo day, I won a copy of The Frugal Editor from Carolyn Howard-Johnson! Whoo-hoo!

    Really enjoyed promo day.

  6. PROMO DAY is an annual online international event I organise for people in the writing industry. It's FREE and packed full of features for promoting. This year also had free onsite workshops which proved to be a huge success.

I had 1364 visitors come to the site during the event on Saturday 9th May and many others before and after.

Mary congrats on your win. The Frugal Editor is a great resource. Carolyn really knows her stuff.

I also write book reviews for my http://theweeklybookreview.blogspot.com site and am soon to launch a new site http://writersontour.blogspot.com

I still do my multi award winning http://writersandauthors.blogspot.com too.

I'm always busy and probably have too much material! I'm always coming up with new ideas...
